  • I discuss your particular requirements at a meeting beforehand and give you the benefit of my considerable experience.
  • Recommend other service providers.
  • Present you with my leaflets of helpful hints.
  • Provide the host, bridegroom and bestman with printed guidelines for their speeches.
  • On the day, I arrive at the venue in time to check that everything is in order.
  • Ensure guests are welcomed and directed to the appropriate place.
  • Accept and take care of gifts and cards.
  • Welcome the bride and bridegroom on their arrival at the reception.
  • Assist the photographer to organise groups.
  • Liaise with the banqueting staff for correct timings and announce the wedding breakfast.
  • Organise the receiving line, if you want one.
  • Escort parents to the top table.
  • Announce the bride and bridegroom and escort them to the table.
  • Say Grace, if required.
  • During the meal, I prepare everything for the toasts.
  • When the speakers are composed and ready I announce them in turn.
  • Produce flowers and gifts at the right moment.
  • Announce and conduct the cutting of the cake.
  • Inform the guests of the next stage of the proceedings.
  • If appropriate, I will also organise the throwing of the bouquet and co-ordinate the first dance.
