- I discuss your particular requirements at a meeting beforehand and give you the benefit of my considerable experience.
- Recommend other service providers.
- Present you with my leaflets of helpful hints.
- Provide the host, bridegroom and bestman with printed guidelines for their speeches.
- On the day, I arrive at the venue in time to check that everything is in order.
- Ensure guests are welcomed and directed to the appropriate place.
- Accept and take care of gifts and cards.
- Welcome the bride and bridegroom on their arrival at the reception.
- Assist the photographer to organise groups.
- Liaise with the banqueting staff for correct timings and announce the wedding breakfast.
- Organise the receiving line, if you want one.
- Escort parents to the top table.
- Announce the bride and bridegroom and escort them to the table.
- Say Grace, if required.
- During the meal, I prepare everything for the toasts.
- When the speakers are composed and ready I announce them in turn.
- Produce flowers and gifts at the right moment.
- Announce and conduct the cutting of the cake.
- Inform the guests of the next stage of the proceedings.
- If appropriate, I will also organise the throwing of the bouquet and co-ordinate the first dance.
